What are some good resources?  Have you coded games?  What languages did you use?  What were some challenges?  Who has simply considered this endeavor?  What might be some obstacles?

I never had any interest in game development. I just enjoy playing them. You have to have a strong foundation for C++ or C# I guess for development. I am into JavaScript and Python more.
