One of the major disadvantages is user experience. I know some of the website offers paid plan to get rid of the ads, which I think is a good idea. But as a first time visitor it has a negative impact for sure!

There some people who hate ads so much. In fact, most people hate it because I do too. I will only turn off my ads blockers when it's a must for it to be on before I can use the website.

People don't like ads so it's a no-brainer to get rid of them.  Well, I would look at alternatives like classifieds or paid sections with really valuable material.  Who has seen good examples of this?
