Why do some of us spend so much on the latest smartphone when we can buy very able phones for half the price? New flagship phones can cost over $1,000, which is quite substantial for most people. But when mid-range phones offer similar if not more features,
Are expensive smartphones worth it?

I don't think it is. However, that's just my situation. Well, I don't really need fancy stuff and I have a problem with breaking and losing phones. In fact, the only advantage I'd see is the memory and I'm sure it's larger for that price 😂.

Unfortunately, I don't think they are worth it but there's no way of telling someone who wants to splash his money on expensive flagship smartphones like iPhone 14 and 15 Pro Max as well as the latest Samsung Galaxy flagship phones. They are the two phone brands which are crazily expensive.

Worth it or not is least factor I consider. All I need from it is capabilities, feature and smartness and that is all. If what I get is worth the price then I don't mind.
