Some people are not ready for challenging stuff.  How can they get their feet wet?  How long would it take to absorb this simpler stuff?

I think, the simplest language they can go for is Python. I learned it really fast, Though I had programming fundamental knowledge, but even if you are learning from scartch Python is the best programming language to start I think.

I've been trying to learn that one lately. Have you tried the Bro Code tutorial?  It's awesome.
